Finding Time
April 1, 2009 – 8:37 am“I could use another hour every day” - How many times have we all said that! I have figured that it definately boils down to time management. If you need extra time, find places where you are wasting time. For me I found I have a lot of valuable time in my truck driving. Usually as I am driving my hundreds of miles I will watch a movie or something, This is also a great time to catch up on books I hear people talking about (Audio only for me - no time to read lol). Its even better when one of my employees drive and I can plug in my laptop, insert the air card and get some work done.
What seems to elude me the most is specifically carving out time with God. I would like to say I do this on a regular basis but I don’t. It’s not for lack of wanting, but for lack of prioritizing. If you happen to talk to me or see me around I encourage you to call me out. Ask how my time with God is going. I think we can all benefit from our friends and family encouraging us on our faith and devotion. I look at the dedication my wife has with her studies and aI am amazed. I don’t tell her enough proud of her I am and how it makes me feel that she truly loves God. Michelle, if you happen upon this page…you are amazing! I love you for so many reasons. Thank you for setting an example for me. Thank you for unconditionally loving me.
The Shack - *****
July 31, 2008 – 9:35 pmI have listened to my wife for months talking about this book. She and her small group all read this and all loved it.
As I was logging into iTunes the other day to download a movie for an upcoming trip, I saw a link on the store homepage to download the unabridged audiobook for The Shack. It was a whopping $5.95 so I decided to buy it instead of whatever action flick I would have purchased. I can honestly say that this is THE best book I have ever read (listened to). I have not had this many emotions surface from a story that I can ever remember. I lauged out loud several times, cried more times than I care to admit, and got goosebumps of excitement every half hour or so. The way that Paul Young uses this work of fiction to tell everyone about the true non-fiction love of God is wonderful. I have had such a renewal of my spirit and have learned so many new things or at least new ways to interpret what I already knew. I definately and emphatically would suggest that everyone go out and buy the book or download the audio!
